Terms of Use

Last updated July 1, 2026

These terms are a contract between you and tryQR Labs (“tryQR,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you’re using tryQR on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.

01The service

tryQR lets you create static and dynamic QR codes, download them, and — for dynamic codes — edit their destination and view scan analytics. A dynamic code encodes a short link back to us that we redirect and count; a static code encodes its content directly and is not routed through or tracked by us.

02Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use tryQR.
  • You're responsible for the QR codes you create and the destinations they point to.

03Plans and billing

tryQR offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. The Free plan includes unlimited static codes, a capped number of dynamic codes, and a rolling analytics window (30 days by default). Plan limits and included features are described on our pricing page and may change over time. Where Pro is offered for a fee, pricing, billing cycle, and refund terms will be presented to you before you purchase.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to use tryQR, or point a code’s destination, to:

  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or content that deceives or defrauds the person scanning.
  • Host or link to illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others, or facilitate spam.
  • Circumvent plan limits, probe or attack the service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or data.
  • Redirect scanners to destinations that use unsafe schemes — for security, we only redirect to http and https links.

05Moderation and enforcement

We may review codes and, where a code appears to violate these terms, flag, pause, or suspend it. A suspended or paused code stops redirecting: scanners see an “unavailable” response rather than reaching the destination. We may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations. Where practical we’ll tell you why, but we may act immediately when there is a risk to users or the service.

06Your content

You keep ownership of the codes and destinations you create. You grant us the limited license needed to host your content, generate and serve your QR codes, redirect and count scans, and display analytics back to you. You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit and that it doesn’t violate these terms.

07Availability and changes

We work to keep tryQR available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may impose or adjust usage limits. We’ll give reasonable notice of material changes that negatively affect your use where we can.

08Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, tryQR disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scan analytics will be perfectly accurate — counts exclude bots and prefetches on a best-effort basis.

09Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, tryQR and tryQR Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.

10Termination

You can stop using tryQR and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if required to protect the service or other users. On termination, your codes and their scan data may be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use tryQR after a change means you accept the updated terms.
